We really enjoyed our stay here. If we come back to the area, this will be on our list of places to stay.

We had a great stay (2 adults and 2 small dogs) and would definitely rate it 5 stars. We especially loved the seclusion, the beautiful natural setting, the big lot with pine trees, and having the Hot Springs trail right from the house. It felt peaceful, private, and perfect for a hiking getaway. The cabin was also very warm and cozy, even in freezing weather. We were surprised that we actually turned the heat off at night and opened the windows while it was 25–27F outside. The heating lamp in the bathroom was such a nice touch and very useful in the cold. I was also genuinely impressed to see a feminine emergency kit in the bathroom — that was such a thoughtful detail and showed real care from the host. The only thing I’d mention as a small suggestion is that the twin bed felt a little too small after long days of hiking. I think a queen or king bed would make the stay even better, even if it meant giving up the nightstand.Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would happily come back.

Oct 2025 Stay Positive: Exterior of cabin was appealing. Pretty well equipped (needs a microwave). Everything on the inside worked. Location was quiet, and pleasant. Communication was easy. Negative: Carpet is disgusting (stained and very old). Host speaks of cleanliness, but inside needs attention. (Under stove, and under carpets). Our dogs went crazy in the house identifying many food remnants, etc. Half full orange juice container, and half full coke bottle was in the frig. Host needs to copy ad from AirBNB site where all things like extra costs that most people will want to know are easily seen. We did not know about the pet fees as the specifics were embedded in an email that was very wordy. Pet fees are high based on cabin furnishings values. Multiple security cameras outside that record audio, and video. As a security minded person I understand their value, but consideration should be given to turning them off when guests are present for privacy. I did feel like we were under surveillance to an extent. Drive up the mountain was a 5 mile roundtrip. We experienced significant rain, and had a 4wd vehicle, but was a bit hairy in some areas.
